Fictive project with the real life Finnish brand Fiskars.
The brief was to make new packaging solutions for Fiskars high quality kitchen utilities.
The new design should better communicate the quality within the brand and their products.
The purpose behind the project was that Fiskars should to be able to compete with similar brands in the kitchen segment. The demand on the market for quality kitchenware is growing bigger every day. Fiskars has to be able to match their customers expectations and therefore make a change in how they display their products.
The challenge for us within this project was to make a new design that communicates premium products without loosing Fiskars well known profile in the process.
We choose to make a clean and simple design where the products speak for themselves. The construction displays the material and shape of the product. To lighten things up we worked with a pattern with organic influences, this was also our way of highlighting the brand since orange is their signature colour.
When we worked with this project we had a vision to create functional yet premium packaging solutions without necessarily using a standard "box" shape that required more material.
